Christian Evangelist Dies After Being Stabbed in Turkey

“grief among Turkey’s Christian community is strongly felt, along with great shock and fear,” following the killing.

A Christian evangelist was murdered in southeast Turkey. Korean ministry worker Jinwook Kim was stabbed to death in the city of Diyarbakir on November 19.

According to International Christian Concern, Turkey’s Public Security Branch Directorate of Murder Bureau has arrested a 16-year-old on suspicion of murder.

The 41-year-old evangelist had arrived in Turkey earlier this year and was pastoring a small congregation of Christians. According to reports, he was stabbed three times — twice in the heart and once in the back, later succumbing to his injuries in a local hospital. Kim had a wife and a child.

Despite authorities insisting that the attack was a mugging, believers local to the area have urged the police to investigate the crime as an assassination.

Though Turkey has jailed and mistreated innumerable pastors over recent years, Kim is the first Christian leader to be murdered since 2007, when three believers were killed at the Zirve Publishing House in Malatya.“This is the first martyrdom since Malatya. The Turkish government has started a massive deportation of Protestant leaders who served in Turkey for many years,” one local church leader told ICC. “But deportation isn’t enough for evangelists. This kind of attack would scare [them]. I think this is the last level of a plan, being like China.”

Another Turkish evangelist, who was on the receiving end of a death threat just a day after the murder, insisted that the attack was religiously motivated..

“This wasn’t just a robbery; they came to kill him,” he said. “We always get threats. A brother prophesied a few days ago that they (the government) are going to kick out these foreigners, and probably kill a few Turkish brothers. They are going to cause chaos. They know that I am trying to spread the Gospel, so they may target me too. This may be a sign.”

Claire Evans, ICC’s Regional Manager for the Middle East, said that the “grief among Turkey’s Christian community is strongly felt, along with great shock and fear,” following the killing.

“Martyrdom is not normal in Turkey, and this incident sadly shows just how much the country has changed,” she added.

“Just this year, we have seen a significant increase in incidents proving how the environment has grown more hostile toward Christianity. ”

Three Former Alter Boys Claim Abuse in Vatican

The fresh allegations come months after Catholic leaders gathered for an unprecedented summit at the Vatican to tackle widespread pedophilia within the church.

Two priests allegedly abused boys in Vatican’s youth seminary in 1980s and 1990s

Three more former altar boys have claimed they were sexually abused by two priests in the Vatican, as the child abuse scandal that has rocked the Catholic church zeroed in for a second time on its headquarters.

The allegations of abuse in the Vatican’s youth seminary, to be set out in an Italian TV show on Sunday, date back to the 1980s and 1990s when the boys were aged between 10 and 14.

Inside of the Vatican

The accusations come two months after the Vatican said it would seek to indict Fr Gabriele Martinelli (28) for allegedly abusing several altar boys in 2012 when he trained at the St Pius X youth seminary. That move was prompted by the Italian show Le Iene’s first investigation into the school in 2017.

The Vatican said in September that an indictment was also being sought against a former director at the youth seminary, Fr Enrico Radice, who was accused of aiding and abetting the alleged crimes.

The Catholic church has faced thousands of child sexual abuse allegations from around the world but Le Iene’s investigation in 2017 was the first time claims of pedophilia within the Vatican’s walls were exposed.

“We decided to keep digging as we had the feeling that the previous cases were not isolated,” said Gaetano Pecoraro, one of the two authors of the investigation. “There were more victims and more priests involved in sexual abuse within the Vatican.”

In the latest investigation, three former altar boys who served at papal masses claimed they were sexual abused by two priests, one a teacher.

One of the victims alleges that one of the priests, who was managing the school’s communal showers, tried to remove his bathrobe. “He wanted to undress me,” the victim alleges. “I tried to wriggle away. I was 13 years old. I fell to the ground and asked him ‘what are you doing?’ I then got up and ran away.”

Papal Mass 1
A papal mass

All three boarded at the youth seminary. The second victim alleges he was abused at the Casa Santa Marta, where many priests stay, by a priest at the youth seminary when he was 10 or 11 years old. “He asked me to go upstairs to his room, made me sit on his legs, began to stroke my thigh and then put a hand on my private parts,” he told Le Iene. The priest allegedly persisted with the abuse and after the boy refused the advances he stopped.

The victims, now aged between 37 and 40, came together a few years ago to share their stories. The third victim made similar allegations but chose not to go into detail for the programme. The three claimed that a fourth former altar boy suffered worse sexual abuse than they did, but when he was contacted by Le Iene he refused to talk.

The allegations were corroborated by several people who claimed to have witnessed some of the abuse.

Le Iene managed to trace one of the accused priests. The man, whose face is blurred in the programme, appears to be frightened by the journalists’ visit. After he hears the accusations made against him in the audio interviews, he responds: “No, it’s not possible. I can’t remember ? I’m not saying they’re lying, I’m saying they have misunderstood.”

The Vatican said in a statement that if new elements emerged during the judicial proceedings it had begun in the Martinelli case “involving further offences by the accused or by others, the judicial authorities of the state of the Vatican City will proceed with the opening of a new file of documents and, following preliminary investigation, with a new request for a trial.”

The fresh allegations come months after Catholic leaders gathered for an unprecedented summit at the Vatican to tackle widespread paedophilia within the church. At the close of the summit in February, Pope Francis promised the church would “spare no effort” in bringing abusers to justice and would not cover up or underestimate abuse.

American Icon McDonald’s Thrives in Babylon Today

McDonald’s is another restaurant that jumped onto the LGBT bandwagon to remain relevant in the rat race…

McDonalds 1

In 2017 McDonald’s restaurants in Washington, D.C, situated along the “Capital Pride” parade route offered customers limited-edition “rainbow fry” boxes to celebrate the LGBTQ community and remind Americans that the Golden Arches is another icon major player and sponsor in promoting homosexual behavior across the nation.

McDonald’s Family Restaurants of Greater Washington, D.C., touted the 2017 Capital Pride parade theme, “Lovin’ Is Lovin,’” – an apparent offshoot of its popular “I’m Lovin’ It” tagline – as a way to publicize its longtime support and unwavering commitment to promote LGBTQ rights that run in opposition to its pro-family and conservative Christian clientele.

Pro-LGBT through and through

McDonald’s PRIDE Network Co-Chair Cathy Martin boasts about America’s largest fast food chain’s devotion to push the homosexual agenda with its billions of dollars in profits.

“The rainbow fry boxes are a fun way to show our support of the LGBTQ community, using one of McDonald’s most iconic and recognizable items,” the pro-LGBT activist expressed in a McDonald’s press release last week announcing the controversial fries. “However, these fry boxes are ‘small potatoes’ in the grand scheme of our commitment to this community.”

Martin, who also serves as vice president and general manager of McDonald’s Baltimore-Washington Region, says that the burger chain not only promotes the homosexual lifestyle to its patrons, but to its workers and the general public, as well.

“We are proud to honor and celebrate the LGBTQ community, including our employees, customers and beyond – each and every day,” she continued.

Beyond its restaurant doors and advertising campaigns, McDonald’s touts itself as an “industry and corporate leader with its Diversity & Inclusion policies” that have been geared to “support and protect the LGBTQ community” for 18 years, including:

  • Expansion of its non-discrimination policy to include sexual orientation (1999)
  • Enabling domestic partners to be eligible for its benefits package (2004)
  • Establishing the McDonald’s PRIDE Network employee network (2005)
  • Updating its non-discrimination policy to include “Gender Identity and Expression” (2013)

And McDonald’s boasting over its anti-family agenda – despite the fact that it caters its menu to the family crowd – does not stop there.

McDonald’s also has a rating of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index – the national bench-marking tool on corporate practices related to LGBTQ employees,” the press release announced before inviting the LGBT crowd to join its inaugural “gay” fest in the nation’s capital. “McDonald’s of Greater Washington, D.C. sponsored the first-ever Capital Pride Block Party.

Repulsive fries …

Not impressed with McDonald’s investment in the LGBT community, evangelist Joshua Feuerstein has had enough of its pushing the homosexual agenda and called Americans to fight back.

Besides his distaste for McDonald’s campaign that promotes the LGBT lifestyle, the ex-pastor condemned the burger franchise’s menu offerings and exhorted fast food fanatics to find another chain for their on-the-go cravings.

“I’m tired of corporations trying to influence our families like this – SHARE THIS and let people know to STOP EATING at McDonalds!” Feuerstein exclaimed. “Plus, their food is [horrible]. Really.”

Embracing homosexuals, rejecting families

Did you watch the above video? I can’t believe that this is a McDonald’s commercial. McDonald’s is another American icon that has jumped onto the LGBT bandwagon to remain relevant in the rat-race.  There have ALWAYS been lesbians, gays and bi-sexuals among us- ALWAYS, why didn’t McDonald’s have the rainbow flag flying years ago? Why didn’t they openly support the gay community years ago?  I’ll tell you why, it’s because it wasn’t socially accepted; being openly gay used to be a tabu which means McDonald’s would have lost billions of customers- that’s why!  In other words, if it doesn’t generate dollars, it doesn’t make any cents, right McDonald’s?  I’m glad that I actually dislike McDonald’s food.  McDonald’s has firmly secured its seat in Babylon today!

Coca-Cola Takes Pride In Pro-LGBT Campaign in Argentina, America and Other Parts of The World

Coca Cola will apparently support anything that is popular in efforts to stay relevant in society.  An American icon that will do anything for a buck.  It’s interesting that Coca-Cola has never supported holiness- EVER!

Gay Sprite

Sprite, a product of the Coca-Cola Company launched an ad campaign in Argentina (Sprite Argentina) that features the celebration of a gay-pride parade, and parents helping their sons and daughters cross-dress in an endorsement of transgender expression. Coca-Cola has expressed it’s support of the LGBT community in other countries as well for many years, but not all countries are in support of this, countries such as India and Hungary have told Coca-Cola they are not interested in their filthy agenda!

Coaca Cola 2
Coca-Cola supports LGBT advertisement in Germany

Maxi Itzkoff, the creative director of this campaign, said the purpose of the ads is to “test innovation and to target young people”. This is CLEARLY not a test, Coca-Cola is boldly promoting the LGBTQ agenda!

The campaign, created by the Argentinian marketing company Santo, #noestassolx (you are not alone), launched on Oct. 9 on Twitter for Sprite, a brand that is under Coca-Cola Co. and in partnership with Reddit, a social media platform and discussion website.

The first video advertisement for the campaign shows various teenagers and young adults typing statements such as, “I am 21 and I don’t know what to do with my life,” while the song “You will Never Walk Alone” by Gerry & the Pacemakers plays in the background.

Among phrases in the video say, “I like both boys and girls” and “I am a man but I want to be a woman.” At the end of the video, those statements receive various responses from other people who are going through a similar experience.

See videos here.

“The value of a brand could be greater by creating real empathy with the youth, instead of going and selling them a Sprite,” Itzkoff said during a marketing festival. “We got out of the habitual marketing tone, and out of what we are supposed to do and we ran away from the target clichés.”

Coca cola 3
Coca-Cola ad in Hungary supporting LGBT

For the rest of the campaign, Sprite Argentina posted videos with statistics such as “we are 2,497,381 who were born in the wrong body.” The video ads always conclude by saying, “You are not alone, keep yourself fresh,” and are a clear endorsement of the LGBT lifestyle.

cc 4

The video that has stirred the most comments on Twitter was one posted on Nov 1. It portrays young people getting ready for a gay-pride parade, and being helped by what seems to be their parents, who are adjusting their outfits and chest binders. Lastly two little girls paint a white heart on top of a gay-rainbow flag.

The video ends up with the statement, “Pride: what you feel when someone you love chooses to be happy.”

Editor Note: Coca Cola will apparently support anything that is popular in efforts to stay relevant in society.  An American icon that was once respected by most will do anything for a buck and is part of a bigger agenda. What about Coca Cola’s pro-family and conservative Christian clientele?  It’s interesting that Coca-Cola has never supported holiness- EVER! They could have continued to sell their product remaining neutral and people would have continued to respect the brand while continuing to purchase their product as they have for decades. I wonder if they’ve designed any cans with full term abortion themes?  I’ve never seen Coca-Cola cans with faces of innocent minorities who were shot by police. Coca-Cola has secured it’s seat in Babylon today.  I certainly wont be purchasing anymore Coca Cola products!

China ‘Holding at least 120,000 Uyghur Muslims in Re-Education Camps’

There are media reports of inmates being forced to eat pork and drink alcohol, which are forbidden to Muslims, as well as reports of torture and death.

One million Muslims are being held against their will right now in Chinese internment camps, according to estimates cited by the UN and U.S. officials. Former inmates—most of whom are Uyghurs, a largely Muslim ethnic minority—have told reporters that over the course of an indoctrination process lasting several months, they were forced to renounce Islam, criticize their own Islamic beliefs and those of fellow inmates, and recite Communist Party propaganda songs for hours each day. There are media reports of inmates being forced to eat pork and drink alcohol, which are forbidden to Muslims, as well as reports of torture and death.

The sheer scale of the internment camp system, which according to The Wall Street Journal has doubled in China’s northwestern Xinjiang region just within the last year, is mind boggling. The U.S. Congressional-Executive Commission on China describes it as “the largest mass incarceration of a minority population in the world today.” Beijing began by targeting Uyghur extremists, but now even benign manifestations of Muslim identity—like growing a long beard—can get a Uighur sent to a camp, the Journal noted. Earlier this month, when a UN panel confronted a senior Chinese official about the camps, he said there are “no such things as reeducation centers,” even though government documents refer to the facilities that way. Instead, he claimed they’re just vocational schools for criminals.

Xi-Jinping
Xi-Jinping

China has been selling a very different narrative to its own population. Although the authorities frequently describe the internment camps as schools, they also liken them to another type of institution: hospitals. Here’s an excerpt from an official Communist Party audio recording, which was transmitted last year to Uighurs via WeChat, a social-media platform, and which was transcribed and translated by Radio Free Asia:

Members of the public who have been chosen for reeducation have been infected by an ideological illness. They have been infected with religious extremism and violent terrorist ideology, and therefore they must seek treatment from a hospital as an inpatient. … The religious extremist ideology is a type of poisonous medicine, which confuses the mind of the people. … If we do not eradicate religious extremism at its roots, the violent terrorist incidents will grow and spread all over like an incurable malignant tumor.

“Religious belief is seen as a pathology” in China, explained James Millward, a professor of Chinese history at Georgetown University, adding that Beijing often claims religion fuels extremism and separatism. “So now they’re calling reeducation camps ‘hospitals’ meant to cure thinking. It’s like an inoculation, a search-and-destroy medical procedure that they want to apply to the whole Uighur population, to kill the germs of extremism. But it’s not just giving someone a shot—it’s locking them up for months in bad conditions.”

China has long feared that Uyghurs will attempt to establish their own national homeland in Xinjiang, which they refer to as East Turkestan. In 2009, ethnic riots there resulted in hundreds of deaths, and some radical Uyghurs have carried out terrorist attacks in recent years. Chinese officials have claimed that in order to suppress the threat of Uighur separatism and extremism, the government needs to crack down not only on those Uyghurs who show signs of having been radicalized, but on a significant swath of the population.

The medical analogy is one way the government tries to justify its policy of large-scale internment: After all, attempting to inoculate a whole population against, say, the flu, requires giving flu shots not just to the already-afflicted few, but to a critical mass of people. In fact, using this rhetoric, China has tried to defend a system of arrest quotas for Uyghurs. Police officers confirmed to Radio Free Asia that they are under orders to meet specific population targets when rounding up people for internment. In one township, police officials said they were being ordered to send 40 percent of the local population to the camps.

muslims-xinjiang-china

The government also uses this pathologizing language in an attempt to justify lengthy interments and future interventions any time officials deem Islam a threat. “It’s being treated as a mental illness that’s never guaranteed to be completely cured, like addiction or depression,” said Timothy Grose, a China expert at the Rose Hulman Institute of Technology. “There’s something mentally wrong that needs to be diagnosed, treated—and followed up with.” Here’s how the Communist Party recording cited above explains this, while alluding to the threat of contagion:

There is always a risk that the illness will manifest itself at any moment, which would cause serious harm to the public. That is why they must be admitted to a reeducation hospital in time to treat and cleanse the virus from their brain and restore their normal mind. … Being infected by religious extremism and violent terrorist ideology and not seeking treatment is like being infected by a disease that has not been treated in time, or like taking toxic drugs. … There is no guarantee that it will not trigger and affect you in the future.

Having gone through reeducation and recovered from the ideological disease doesn’t mean that one is permanently cured. … So, after completing the reeducation process in the hospital and returning home … they must remain vigilant, empower themselves with the correct knowledge, strengthen their ideological studies, and actively attend various public activities to bolster their immune system.

Several other government-issued documents use this type of medical language. “This stuff about the poison in the brain—it’s definitely out there,” said Rian Thum, noting that even civilians tasked with carrying out the crackdown in Xinjiang speak of “eradicating its tumors.” Recruitment advertisements for staff in the internment camps state that experience in psychological training is a plus, Thum and other experts said. Chinese websites describe reeducation sessions where psychologists perform consultations with Uyghurs and treat what they call extremism as a mental illness. A government document published last year in Khotan Prefecture described forced indoctrination as “a free hospital treatment for the masses with sick thinking.”

Uyghur refugee tells of death and fear inside Chinas cultral project
Mihrigul Tursun says she and her son are victims of Beijing’s growing crackdown on Muslim majority Uyghurs in China’s far western Xinjiang region.

This is not the first time China has used medical analogies to suppress a religious minority. “Historically, it’s comparable to the strategy toward Falun Gong,” said Adrian Zenz, a researcher at the European School of Culture and Theology in Germany. He was referring to a spiritual practice whose followers were suppressed in the early 2000s through reeducation in forced labor camps. “Falun Gong was also treated like a dangerous addiction. … But in Xinjiang this [rhetoric] is certainly being pushed to the next level. The explicit link with the addictive effect of religion is being emphasized possibly in an unprecedented way.” Tahir Imin, a U.S.-based Uighur academic from Xinjiang who said he has several family members in internment camps, was not surprised to hear his religion being characterized as if it’s a disease. In his view, it’s part of China’s attempt to eradicate Muslim ethnic minorities and forcefully assimilate them into the Han Chinese majority. “If they have any ‘illness,’ it is being Uyghur,” he said. In addition to Uyghurs, The Washington Post has reported that Muslim members of other ethnic groups, like the Kazakhs and the Kyrgyz, have been sent to the camps. “I think the Chinese government is saying: ‘This ideological hospital—in there, send every person who is not [ethnically] Chinese. They are sick, they are not safe [to be around], they are not reliable, they are not healthy people.’”

An inmate told The Independent he suffered thoughts of suicide inside the camps. And as Uyghurs in exile around the world learn what is happening to their relatives back home, some have told reporters they suffer from insomnia, depression, anxiety, and paranoia.

China 3

Murat Harri (Uyghur), a 33-year-old doctor who moved to Finland in 2010, said he has received word from relatives that both his parents are in the camps. He has launched an online campaign, “Free My Parents,” he said will raise money to start an advocacy organization to help them, but he told me he suffers from recurrent panic attacks. He also described finding himself prone to feelings of anger, powerlessness, and exhaustion. “I try to be normal,” he said, “but I have a psychological problem now.”In an interview with The Globe and Maila Uyghur woman in Canada who said she had a sister in the camps said, “I cannot concentrate on anything. My mind is off. I cannot sleep.” She added, “I lost a lot of weight because I don’t want to eat anymore.”

China Rebukes Trukey Over Uighur Refugees
China Rebukes Turkey Over Uighur Refugees

Some Uyghurs I spoke to who are living abroad also have to cope with a pervasive sense of guilt. They know that Beijing treats any Uyghur who’s traveled internationally as suspicious, and that their family members are treated as suspicious by association. For example, a 24-year-old Uyghur attending graduate school in Kentucky, who requested anonymity for fear that China would further punish his relatives, said it’s been 197 days since he’s been able to contact his father in Xinjiang. He tracks the days on a board tacked to his bedroom wall. “I’m afraid for my dad’s life,” he said. Asked why he believes his father was sent to an internment camp, he replied without a trace of doubt: “Because I go to school here in a foreign country.”

“Now I know that if I ever go home,” he added, “I will be imprisoned just like my dad.”

Investigation Launched After Nuns Returned Pregnant From Mission Trip To Africa

“There are many cases where priests use intimidation, guilt and pressure to coerce young nuns into sexual relationships,” she said. “But there are at least as many cases of nuns who cannot fight their own desires, either.”

nuns 2

Months after Pope Francis publicly acknowledged that nuns were being sexually abused by priests and bishops, officials in Rome have reportedly launched an investigation after two Italy-based nuns who served on separate mission trips to Africa returned pregnant.

“There is consternation at this news. It appears that both women were back in their home nations and obviously had some form of sexual encounter. An investigation has been launched. They both breached strict rules of chastity but the welfare of their children is uppermost,” a Catholic Church source in Rome told The Sun. “The most likely outcome is they will leave their religious service.”

The two nuns are both African and were posted to their home continent as part of their charity mission.

One of the women who is 34, had been complaining of stomach pains when she was rushed to a local hospital only to discover after an ultrasound that she was expecting a baby ANSA reported.

The other nun served as a mother superior at an institute that helps “fallen women and their children” in Ragusa, a town in the Messina area of Sicily. The town’s mayor, Salvatore Riotta, told The Sun that the news of the nun, who is originally from Madagascar, has “left our village shocked … but should have been kept quiet.

In February this year, Pope Francis publicly acknowledged during a news conference that the Roman Catholic Church had faced a persistent problem of sexual abuse of nuns by priests and even bishops.

“It’s true,” Francis said. “There are priests and bishops who have done that.”

In the 1990s, as the child sex abuse crisis was starting to emerge in the United States, leaders of women’s religious orders wrote several reports pointing to the abuse of nuns, many of which came from Africa.

Priests reportedly turned to nuns for sex during the spread of AIDS.

Maura O’Donohue, a nun at the time, wrote about a case in Malawi where priests impregnated nearly 30 sisters in one congregation. When it was reported to the archbishop, they were replaced.

A nun in India also accused a bishop of raping her repeatedly between 2014 and 2016 last year, The New York Times said. The bishop was arrested after she reported him to the police but it caused a division in the local Catholic community.

Sister Federica a former nun told The Daily Beast in May that the story of sex among nuns isn’t always one of victimization or lesbian love. Nuns she said, commonly fall in love with their priests or parishioners.

“We are all bound by the vow of celibacy, but we are also guided by human nature,” she told The Daily Beast. “Sex is a natural urge for women, too.”

Like priests, she explains nuns often struggle with their vows of celibacy as even masturbation is considered a sin.

Nun 4

According to the report, priests are warned against masturbation because the church believes it amounts to spilled seed that should be used for procreation. Likewise nuns are prohibited from masturbating because the church believes that self-pleasure “robs the potential of sex” from the partner and it often gives way to the potential for “adultery of the heart” when a woman fantasizes while touching herself.

Sister Patricia, who left religious life after two decades reported that she pursued her parish priest even though he did not give in to her advances.

“There are many cases where priests use intimidation, guilt and pressure to coerce young nuns into sexual relationships,” she said. “But there are at least as many cases of nuns who cannot fight their own desires, either.”

Canada Proposes to Ban Religious Groups From Demonstrating in Public Under New Anti-Hate Proposal.

The Canadian province of Ontario is considering legislation that would officially criminalize Christianity and other religions that oppose same sex marriage, homosexuality, abortion, and everything else that God considers as sin.

The Canadian province of Ontario is considering legislation that would officially criminalize Christianity and all other religions that oppose same sex marriage, homosexuality, abortion, and everything else that God considers as sin.

The bill, Prohibiting Hate-Promoting Demonstrations at Queen’s Park Act, 2019,” bans any demonstration, rally or other activity that is deemed hateful by the Speaker from being permissible on legislative grounds – effectively insulating the government from Christian speech.

Life Site News explains that the nebulous nature of Canada’s anti-hate laws essentially give leftist legislators carte blanche to ban all Christian protest:

As Canada becomes more restrictive toward Christianity, they open their arms for the LGBT agenda and Islam to take a foothold in their culture.

The Royal Canadian Mint issued a commemorative coin last month to celebrate homosexual love as a core principle of Canadian society.

Canadian gay coin“Marking 50 years since a landmark decision that began a process of legal reforms to recognize the rights of LGBTQ2 Canadians is a powerful way to recognize Canada’s profound belief in equality and inclusion,” said Marie Lemay, president and CEO of the Royal Canadian Mint.

Meanwhile, the far-left Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been revealed to be plotting different ways to bring ISIS terrorists to his nation and possibly be re-introduced in public life.

“None of the options are ideal and all present different challenges and risks,” said the three-page secret paper, which was heavily redacted after its release through the Access to Information Act.

As globalism and liberalism takes a stronger hold in Canada, the government can be expected to become even more hostile to Christianity and more hospitable to subversive agendas.

Nigerian Police Rescue People Chained in Prayer House

The 58 year old told police he had been running what he described as a healing ministry since 1986 and that the people had been chained to prevent them from escaping.

Nigerian policeNigerian police say they have rescued 15 people kept chained in an illegal so-called prayer house in the country’s biggest city, Lagos. The victims were men and women between 19 and 50 years old with some said they had spent five years in the facility.

They were brought there by relatives who believed spiritual treatment could help cure their mental illnesses, drug addictions and other conditions.

“Police are working closely with other agencies of government to provide adequate medical attention and shelter to the victims,” police spokesman Bala Elkana said.

The police raided the house in the area of Ijegun after receiving a tip. The man who ran the facility, and called himself a prophet, was arrested.

This is the latest raid on such privately run facilities, where people are often kept in deplorable conditions, the BBC’s Mayeni Jones in Lagos reports.

Joe Biden Denied Communion by Priest

Rev. Robert E. Morey, pastor of the church, confirmed Monday he denied communion to the former vice president because an public figure who advocates for abortion places himself or herself outside of Church teaching.

Former Vice President Joe Biden Campaigns With Sen. Claire McCaskill

The pastor of a South Carolina church refused Sunday to give communion to Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden due to his support for legal abortion. Biden, who is Catholic, was campaigning in South Carolina when he stopped Sunday morning at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Florence, S.C.

pppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp

Rev. Robert E. Morey, pastor of the church, confirmed Monday he denied communion to the former vice president.

“Sadly, this past Sunday, I had to refuse Holy Communion to Former Vice President Joe Biden,” Morey said, according to WPDE in Florence. “Holy Communion signifies we are one with God, each other and the Church. Our actions should reflect that. Any public figure who advocates for abortion places himself or herself outside of Church teaching. As a priest, it is my responsibility to minister to those souls entrusted to my care, and I must do so even in the most difficult situations. I will keep Mr. Biden in my prayers.”

During a Democratic debate in mid-October, Biden pledged to ensure abortion remains legal, even if the Supreme Court were to overturn Roe v. Wade.

“I would make sure that … we codify Roe v. Wade,” Biden said. “The public is already there. Things have changed. … Reproductive rights are a constitutional right. And, in fact, every woman should have that right.”

Presidential Candidate Joe Biden Holds A Town Hall In South Carolina

Then-Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger – who later became Pope Benedict XVI – wrote a memorandum to U.S. Catholic bishops in 2004, explaining what they should do when a Catholic politician who supports abortion rights presents himself or herself for communion, Catholic News Agency reported.

A politician “consistently campaigning and voting for permissive abortion and euthanasia laws” would constitute “formal cooperation” in grave sin, the letter said. Ratzinger was referencing Canon 915 of the Code of Canon Law, which states that “those who have been excommunicated or interdicted after the imposition or declaration of the penalty and others obstinately persevering in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to holy communion.”

“[The] Pastor should meet with him,” Ratzinger wrote, “instructing him about the Church’s teaching, informing him that he is not to present himself for Holy Communion until he brings to an end the objective situation of sin, and warning him that he will otherwise be denied the Eucharist.”

If the politician refuses to change, Ratzinger wrote, then the “minister of Holy Communion must refuse to distribute it.”

NEW DELHI, October 29, 2019 (Morning Star News) – A Hindu extremist mob in northeastern India tried to kill a pastor and his family in an attack on their home Sunday night (Oct. 27), the church leader said.

At 1 a.m. on Monday (Oct. 28), Hindu extremists brandishing swords, bricks and rods broke through windows and the roof of the home of pastor Palathingal Joseph Johnson in the Rajasan area of Vaishali District, Bihar state, he said.

“10 to 15 Hindu extremists shouting slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram! [Hail, lord Ram]’ trespassed into my house,” Pastor Johnson told Morning Star News. “They were using vulgar language declaring that they will kill me and my children and will outrage my wife’s modesty.”

The assailants also carried wooden sticks and appeared to be drunk, he said. They were members of the Hindu nationalist Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh or RSS, parent organization of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he added.

Pastor Johnson, his wife Shalomi, and their four children ages 7 to 13 hid themselves in one of the rooms in their two-room house. The attack was well-planned, the 44-year-old pastor said.

“We heard their conversation from behind the closed door – they were talking like professional terrorists,” he said. “They did not call each other by name. They had divided themselves into three teams, and one of the attackers assigned tasks to the teams by saying – ‘A section – break the windows,’ ‘B section – break the cars,’ ‘C section – climb the roof.’”

Unable to break open the front door, they began to break windows, he said.

“Soon we heard the noise of the glass breaking,” he said. “One team climbed the roof of our house, but they could not break open the roof to enter the house. So, they twisted the aluminum corrugated sheet and entered.”

The room where he and his family were hiding did not have a latch on the inside, so the pastor hid his children under the bed while he and his wife braced themselves against the door, holding it shut with all their strength.

Pastor Johnson first tried calling the police emergency number but could not get through, he said. He then called a Christian in their neighborhood and asked her to gather people to help.

“While my wife and I caught hold of the door from inside, the attackers were pushing the door from outside trying to open it,” Pastor Johnson told Morning Star News. “That moment I could see death face-to-face. A delay of two more minutes would have cost us our lives.”

The Christian he had called reached the house with 50 other villagers just in time, he said. “The Hindu extremists fled from our home when they saw a mob larger than their numbers,” he said.  Though traumatized, his three daughters, ages 13, 12 and 9, and his 7-year-old son were very brave and did not cry out, he said.

“Along with us, they constantly kept on chanting, ‘There is victory in the blood of Christ,’” he said.

Pastor Johnson came out of hiding to find his home and cars damaged. The attackers had used bricks and thick wooden sticks to break the house windows and the windshields and doors of his two parked cars. They also ruined a toilet, he said.

An activist and the presbyter of Indian Pentecostal Church in Nalanda Patna, pastor Gautam Kumar, said the assailants took advantage of area residents celebrating the Hindu festival of Diwali, as the sound of their firecrackers late at night hid the sound of the break-in.

“If the attackers had managed to come into the room where the family was hiding, we would be looking at a much worse situation,” Pastor Kumar said. “I do not doubt that they would have killed the family.”

Pastor Johnson, who has been living in the area for more than 10 years, leads the Set Free Church, where between 50 and 100 people attend worship every week. His home has a hall where the worship service is held on Sundays and two adjoining rooms where the family lives.

He also oversees an orphanage in the nearby Hajipur area, Pastor Kumar said.

Two policemen have been deployed outside the pastor’s home, and five members of his church volunteered to stay with him and his family for their protection, he said.

A First Information Report (FIR) was registered after initial investigation, case No. 427/19, dated Oct. 28, under Indian Penal Code sections for rioting, rioting armed with a deadly weapon, unlawful assembly, criminal trespass, house-trespass, promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion and outraging religious feelings.

The case was to be investigated by Assistant Sub-Inspector Jaykumar Singh.

A policeman at the Bidupur police station who declined to give his name told Morning Star News that the FIR has been registered but no arrests have been made.

Distressed by the rising number of attacks on Christians in Bihar and in the country as a whole, Pastor Kumar told Morning Star News that he is heart-broken.

“A handful of people in our country are spreading false propaganda against the Christian community and are polarizing the masses with false information that Christianity is a foreign religion, and that Christians are anti-nationalists,” he said. “It is heart-breaking that the masses are believing this lie, and thus Christians are being targeted throughout the country.”

Pastor Johnson said that he previously had received several mild threats and warnings from Hindu extremists and could sense that trouble in some form was forthcoming, he never imagined it would be this severe. The last time he had been threatened was six months ago, he said.

“I knew persecution will come and I was mentally prepared to face it, but I had never thought it would be scary like this,” he said. “I saw my death before my eyes, and the thought of my wife and children dying with me was even scarier.”
